Instrument: This is a beautiful example of a Conn Connstellation trumpet made at a time when Conn was putting out some super high quality instruments.

The mouthpipe is clearly engraved with "Connstellation B" and the Bell engraving is beautiful as well.

What Conn said in 1957 about this model:

The "last word" in trumpets. Features amazing ELECTRO-D bell, topspring clickless crysteel valves, non-corroding "Micro-Finish" mouthpipe and scientific CALI-BORE. Nylon piston guides reduces valve noice at the same time adding longer life to the part as compared to former metal guides. Trigger mechanish on first valve gives great flexibility in both high and low ranges. Length: 21 1/2" Weight 2 Lbs 12 oz. Highly polished nickel finish, with brass trim, protected by longer lasting, acid resistant LUSTRE-CONN finish.

This trumpet is in GREAT shape. When I bought it a few years back, the previous owner had one of the plastic hand gaurds on it. Well, it rubbed in a few spots on the valve block as wore through the finish in 1 or 2 spots. Not a huge deal, but it does keep the finish from being perfect. There are also a few minor scraches in the finish as well. When you are playing, nobody will notice any defects in the finish. Valves are GREAT and the trumpet plays like a dream!

The LARGER than normal 5 1/8" bell really helps this trumpet project.

I LOVE the look and feel of this trumpet, but I just don't give it the playing time is deserves, so I'm willing to part ways with it.
